There was a time when builders revealed new, larger superyacht series that often were nearly identical to their smaller sisters. Don’t assume that with the Baglietto T54 yacht series, however. Although she draws on what makes her predecessor pretty popular, she affords amenities you probably won’t expect to see.
The 171-foot (52-meter) Baglietto T52 yacht series (below) quickly became the shipyard’s most in-demand model. Two are in the water so far, and another seven are under contract in different stages of design and construction, in fact. One of the design features that clients like the most is the three-level, fully alfresco beach area. They also like large, 79-foot-long (24-meter-long) sundeck, and the aft-deck pool.

In profile, the 177-foot (54-meter) Baglietto T54 yacht complements the T52, both from the drawing boards of Francesco Paszkowski Design. The extra length noticeably benefits the beach area, specifically providing a seating area/conversation lounge. Even though there’s already a lounge on the upper portion of the beach area, it’s sheltered, whereas the extra lounge is fully open. It might just become the spot for Instagram-worthy sunset selfies.
Yet another difference between the two, the new megayacht creates more of an indoor-outdoor lounge by connecting the main saloon and beach area better. Baglietto and Francesco Paszkowski Design reconfigured some of the technical systems’ locations, thereby freeing up usable space for floor-to-ceiling glass. The saloon glass doors now open wider as well.

Further layout modifications distinguish the Baglietto T54 yacht series from the T52, too. The already-mentioned sundeck on the T52 is 1,453 square feet (135 square meters). The sundeck on the new series is beamier and occupies 1,615 square feet (150 square meters). Yet another addition of space—in two ways—comes in the master suite. Firstly, the footprint is bigger, and secondly, it gains a balcony. Still on the interior, special guests have an upper-deck suite, and finally, a spa and a gym are just off the swim platform.
Anticipating a sale, Baglietto has already began construction on hull number one. Completion can be within two years. Since there’s still plenty of time to personalize her, buyers further can choose hybrid propulsion or traditional diesels.
