Mengi Yay NL 50 Plus Yacht Interiors Create Serenity at Sea

With completion about a year away, a 172-foot (52-meter) steel superyacht at Mengi Yay Yachts is the first model is what the shipyard plans as a family of designs. That’s why it’s peeling back the curtain on the NL 50 Plus yacht interiors for the first time.

The new series features styling and interior design by Nuvolari Lenard. She shows off some of the most-popular creature comforts that global buyers want. Since the project is under construction on spec, owners still have plenty of time to personalize the spaces. Naturally, Nuvolari Lenard envisions the NL 50 Plus yacht interiors leaning into indoor-outdoor living. They easily imagine owners and guests wanting to flow back and forth between the upper-deck saloon and the alfresco space just beyond it. Instead of simply penning sliding glass doors that can remain open, they’re further specifying windbreaking glass doors to each side of the alfresco area. This can quite effectively unite the two spaces.

For clients who like traditional layouts, the NL 50 Plus yacht interiors call for a main-deck saloon and formal dining area just forward of it. All of the furnishings can be custom-designed and custom-made. Finally, while floor-to-ceiling windows will make the main deck inviting, the designers are creating mood lighting through a variety of fixtures, taking you from day to night.

The NL 50 Plus can accommodate a party of 10, with four guest staterooms below and an expansive master suite on the main deck. Eight crewmembers get cabins, too. Once completed, the yacht can undertake voyages on both sides of the Atlantic. If you buy her, you can plan a wide range of itineraries.
