Yacht Singolare Is a Singular Sensation in Her Owner’s Eyes

During a private launch ceremony at Tankoa Yachts’ headquarters in Genoa, Italy, the owner of the yacht Singolare was quite moved. He and his family are looking forward to enjoying cruising onboard this nearly 148-footer (45-meter), which reveals a lot with just her nameboard.

Meaning “singular” in Italian, Singolare is actually part of the T450 superyacht series. She therefore follows in the footsteps of the yacht Go, which launched just last year as hull number one. But, the two are not identical in their amenities and layout. In fact, the owner of the yacht Singolare made a number of requests that are surprisingly different from owners of larger fully custom yachts, too.

Firstly, the upper deck isn’t a second enclosed or semi-enclosed lounge area. Instead, it’s almost entirely for wellness. Features include a sauna and a gym. It further includes a cinema room fully forward, still rimmed with windows, and an elevator connecting it to the main deck. On the main deck, the master suite has an impressively large walk-in wardrobe—so large that it has the same footprint as a VIP stateroom. That extra space is available because the galley sits below decks, still equipped with a walk-in refrigerator and freezer. Finally, the owner’s family and friends can select their favorite vintage to accompany dinner from floor-to-ceiling wine displays in the saloon.

All of these special features sprang from the owner’s collaboration with Tankoa Yachts and Debora Aguiar. Aguiar is a Brazil-based designer who primarily styles private residences, commercial and corporate properties. Overall, the yacht reflects a modern, warm, and graceful look and feel. The owner and his family have several places to gather together as well, including the indoor-outdoor saloon. Sliding glass walls open it up to the aft deck and overall seascapes.

Although many of the personalized touches are throughout the interior, the yacht Singolare does have one more particular request from the owner. Her tender garage sits beneath the foredeck.

Guido Orsi, Tankoa Yachts’ vice president, points out that the owner is from South America, “where demand for high-end yachts is steadily increasing.” Similarly, he feels Tankoa is becoming more well-known in more international markets.

Like many owners, the owner of Singolare plans to cruise the Med for the rest of the summer upon delivery. He and his family will then relocate their new yacht to the Caribbean for the winter. In the meantime, Tankoa Yachts continues construction on hull number three in the T450 series for another client.
