Newest Arcadia A80 Yacht Has Maine on Owners’ Minds

When hull number three in the Arcadia A80 yacht series lowered into the water this month, the shipyard had extra reasons to celebrate. She was its third megayacht launch of the year, and she revealed just how much customization its customers can get.

With an LOA of 78’8” (23.98 meters), the Arcadia A80 yacht series is an anomaly among semi-custom ranges. The A80 offers a choice of four or five staterooms, including a main-deck master. Additionally, the wall of windows to one side of the saloon and dining area slide open. Another big—literally—lifestyle benefit, the flying bridge is the largest in this size range, boasting 861 square feet (80 square meters) of usable space. On the tech side, solar panels are standard to lower reliance on diesel gensets to power hotel loads.

The series seems to have captured customers’ interest. Notably, hull number one launched last September, and hull number two launched just two weeks prior to this one. (Hull number two was simultaneously the second launch of 2026 so far, preceded by the launch of an A96 yacht in June.) The owners of hull number three apparently didn’t need much convincing that the A80 was a good fit for them, being repeat Arcadia Yachts clients. In fact, the shipyard says they’re longtime loyal customers who have put a lot of nautical miles around the world under their feet.

That experience led to significantly tailored features aboard. For example, the most visible is the color scheme. Starting amid alfresco areas and carrying through the entire interior, a custom-blended Maine Blue hue has a special (undisclosed) meaning to them. It’s on furnishings from the main aft deck to the upper deck, plus rooms inside as well as accents outside and inside. Once outfitting is complete, it should pop particularly well in the saloon. Here, a white parquet sole and leather-clad walls (themselves with custom colors) set the mood. It further should stand out amid the custom shade of grey lacquer for wall paneling below decks. Arcadia’s in-house team helped research leather textures and staining properties as well as proper methods for manufacturing the lacquer, too.

While the owners of this Arcadia A80 yacht selected the marbles for baths and custom carpets for their own suite, they paid strong attention to crew areas, too. For instance, the helm contains a custom flag locker, along with a chart table for paper charts. The galley arguably received as much attention as the master suite, where the carpeting patterns and colors reflect moving waves. One of the owners is a food critic and chef who loves to cook while cruising. Therefore, she personally chose appliances and specified how the room should flow. She also requested glass cabinet doors—each laminated in Maine Blue.

“Working with owners who have such an intimate knowledge of the sea is a valuable experience,” says Ugo Pellegrino, Arcadia Yachts’ founder and CEO. The yearslong working relationship involved the full shipyard team, he adds, and reconfirms the commitment to giving customers more than they expect in smaller superyacht sizes.
