The Navetta 30 opens a new chapter in the story of Custom Line’s displacement yachts. Full of charm, she really is a sporty-chic vessel. Ninety-three feet (28.43 meters) long with a beam of 24 feet (7.3 meters), and with more than 3,445 square feet (320 square meters) of total space, she offers the comfort of a much larger craft. Furthermore, the Navetta 30 gives everyone onboard the feeling of being at home while maintaining all the characteristics of a boat.
“It’s a yacht for owners who regard comfort and slow sailing as the best way to enjoy cruising,” says Stefano De Vivo, CCO of Ferretti Group. “We’ve placed a lot of emphasis on the yacht’s unique nature, and we wanted this kind of exclusivity for Custom Line, that idea of ‘just for you.’” Indeed, an exclusive design team is behind the Navetta 30. Specifically, it includes the Ferretti Group’s product strategy department and engineering department with Filippo Salvetti for styling and Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel for the interiors.
The exterior boasts a classic profile, with great emphasis on horizontal lines. Notably, several stylistic stratagems help soften the vertical nature of some elements linking the decks. One of the yacht’s distinctive features lies in the separation between hull and superstructure. “The hull rises forward to the upper deck, while a dark line enabled us to highlight the hull and lighten the superstructure,” says Filippo Salvetti. De Vivo agrees. “I think Salvetti did a fantastic job, doing something totally new without changing the existing range which, given its great success, will remain in production for many years to come,” he says.

Integrated windows upwards of 6’6” (2 meters) high and huge exterior areas for socializing and relaxing contribute to the main theme of interconnection between inside and outside. “We wanted to transfer the knowledge we’ve gained from the residential sector to add something new to the exciting opportunities offered by the yacht industry, not to transform a yacht into a house,” says Patricia Viel. The design studio skillfully combines stylistic elements of naval tradition with contemporary flavor. The Navetta 30 references seafaring tradition in the rounded lines and curves throughout the interior. It’s especially evident in the main and upper-deck saloons (right and left above), in the furniture and window frames. Natural materials like leather and teak combine with these to create the effect, too.
The use of the color blue—ultramarine blue, to be precise—further emphasizes the historical practice of going to sea. It’s on the walls, furnishings, fabrics, and coatings, additionally a theme in the four guests cabins and the owner’s suite. The latter is a spacious 377-square-foot (35-square-meter) area offering the owners a refuge. Here, they can relax and enjoy the sea view. The furniture, by the way, is entirely custom. Antonio Citterio designed them for the first Navetta 30, using artisanal methods for leather, solid wood, and multi-laminate wood.

Astonishing, though, is the same-size sundeck (above left), which a bimini top can shelter. It’s divided into two areas. Firstly, you’ll find a lounge. Its big sofa with equally large cushions, custom-designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, resembles those onboard a Turkish gullet. It creates a sense of continuity with the upper deck and main aft deck (above right). Secondly, it features a bar and seats looking out to sea. It’s the ideal place to enjoy the seafaring experience.
As for that experience, the first Custom Line Navetta 30 has an expected 2,000-nautical-mile range at 10 knots. Her twin 1,000-mhp MAN engines are one of four propulsion choices. Note, too, that she can include a plug-in hybrid power package, to minimize emissions.
