The first of the Russian Twins has hit the water.
Last Sunday saw the launch of Areti I, the first of two identical 127-footers (hence the nickname above) that a young Russian commissioned from Burger Boat Company. Why two yachts? Because he says he spends nearly as much time traveling to the United States as he does within Russia and Europe for business, so he decided having a yacht based in each region would allow him the most enjoyment of the lifestyle with his family as well as business associates. (I can already hear the wheels of brokers’ brains spinning everywhere–you know who you are…)
While Areti I’s interior isn’t complete yet, it will feature makore wood fashioned in fluted columns and recessed panels plus include earthy tones of brown, rust, and cream. It will also feature a main-deck master suite and four guest staterooms below decks. The yacht will be classed to ABS and comply with the MCA Code.
Look for Areti I to cruise the East Coast of the United States, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Areti II should launch later this fall and will cruise the Med, the Adriatic and Aegean Seas, and the Balkans.
