Unless you’re overseeing a yacht under construction or are somehow otherwise involved in the megayacht industry, it’s rare to see a photo such as this. You’re looking at the careful positioning of a 58-meter (190-foot) project at CRN–well, to be accurate, the first block of its hull.
It’s rare because not even owners typically see their yachts at this stage. Most prefer to wait until the project has literally taken more shape and has a semblance of rooms to walk through. (And infrequently as it may happen, some don’t even visit the yard until launch day.)
It’ll be a while before CRN #125, as the yacht is being referred to thus far, gets to the point of staterooms and the like being set up, considering the yard only began construction a few weeks prior to the photo being taken. It’ll also be a while before much else is known about the steel-hulled yacht, since all CRN will reveal at this point is that the owner is Italian and that the tender and its garage will both feature “innovative elements.”
