For many years, Taiwan-based Horizon has had its American headquarters in Palm Beach, Florida. A second Horizon Yacht USA location just opened earlier this month, in the city nicknamed the yachting capital of the world, Fort Lauderdale.
The secondary office sits within the Hall of Fame Marina. It was a natural location, according to the team. “We are delighted to open this new Fort Lauderdale office to serve so many of our owners and clients who bring their boats through Fort Lauderdale,” Roger Sowerbutts, head of Horizon Yacht USA, explains. “We have a great relationship with Hall of Fame Marina, so this new office is a welcome extension for our sales and service team.”
Since the marina offers transient slips, the location lends itself well to displaying new and brokerage Horizon models when needed. In fact, Horizon Yacht USA did just that in celebrating the opening of the new location. From February 15 to 17, it held a Winter Showcase Open House. Nine models were in the water, including the RP120 megayacht Papi Papa. So, too, were two of the FD87 models, including the first FD87 Skyline. (You can spy that particular yacht easily in the photo above. She has the sky-blue hull, fittingly.) In fact, the owners of the FD87 yachts were in attendance to host tours and answer questions about their building and cruising experiences.
On a related note, Horizon says it has delivered more than 205 megayachts in its 30-year history. That number is about one-quarter of the total number of its yacht deliveries, in fact.
