When most people think of a nag, they imagine a pestering person. But in the case of Lady Nag Nag, they’ll have to change that thinking. The unusually named 171-footer, pictured here during sea trials off the coast of Holland, was delivered this summer from Amels.
Part of the series the yard calls Limited Editions Amels 171, Lady Nag Nag features styling by Tim Heywood and an interior by Laura Sessa Romboli as well as the owner’s own interior designer, Dori Hitti. The wide-body design maximizes interior volume and features a full-beam sky lounge. Since Lady Nag Nag‘s owner is protective of his privacy, specifics on the interior design aren’t available, though overall the 171 series does offer three thematic looks: contemporary, with a juxtaposition of dark and light woods and casual furnishings; white, with (as you might guess) white furnishings and surfaces; and classic, with mostly mahogany wood.
Because the series is semicustom, Lady Nag Nag was finished quicker than fully custom yachts in her size range: Work on the hull and superstructure began in August 2007. Ocean Independence Cavendish White managed the build for the owner; in fact, Amels reportedly recommended the brokerage house because of its work on a previous build there.
