Due to the previous popularity of its models particularly in southern U.S. climates, Leopard Yachts once again has a dedicated presence in the United States.
Leopard Yachts used to be sold through the Rodriguez Group, but the companies parted ways two years ago. Leopard established new connections overseas (including one recently with Sanlorenzo) but no new American representation until now. It’s being marketed and sold exclusively stateside by Total Marine, a brokerage with offices in Connecticut and Florida.
The latter location will market and sell Leopard’s lineup of fiberglass megayachts from 32 to 56 meters (105 to 184 feet, respectively). The families behind each brand—Picchiotti for Leopard and Caruso for Total Marine—apparently have had a relationship for some time, and the Carusos lobbied hard for a deal.
The 43-meter (141-foot) model shown here exemplifies why Floridian and even Caribbean waters are popular cruising grounds for Leopards. The sleek profile, emphasis on alfresco living, and reported top speed of 35 knots partly thanks to waterjet propulsion attract owners who enjoy island hopping
The Leopard and Total Marine team will exhibit together in Total Marine’s display at the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami this week. They’ll be in the Yacht Equipment Pavillion, booths 22 and 23, as well as ramps 15 and 36.
