The latest Maiora megayacht launched last week, a Maiora 24S model. She’s one of several already delivered in that series.
Measuring 84’3” (25.7 meters) and with a 19’1” (5.81-meter) beam, the Maiora 24S is designed for style and speed. The curves of her fiberglass hull and superstructure hint at the fashion to be found inside. Picture a helm clad in red leather (Ferrari red, to be exact), turquoise tones in the galley, and Art Deco design elements on the double glass doors separating the saloon from the formal dining area. These are complemented by additional colorful leathers in the saloon, though lighter in tone. Lest you think there’s a lack of wood aboard, the newest Maiora 24S megayacht bears Tanganyika with wenge accents.
The use of leathers continues below decks, in the three guest staterooms and the full-beam master stateroom. This time, there’s a mix of greens and browns in the two twins and the VIP. The same colors repeat in their en suite baths, though in different materials. As for the master, there are other lighter tones of leathers, and the same colors in the bath, complemented by white onyx.
As to the Maiora 24S’s emphasis on speed, the megayacht is said to top out at 30 knots and cruise at 26 knots. Power comes from twin 1,950-hp MTU 12V 2000 M94 diesels.
Whether at speed or at anchor, the megayacht encourages guests to lounge in the great outdoors. There’s alfresco dining on the main aft deck and a similar setup on the flying bridge. Up here, there’s further a sunbed, plus grilling accessories for the chef.
We have several more photos of the launch of the Maiora 24S posted on the Megayacht News Facebook page.
