Meet Helix, the fifth F45 megayacht splashed at Feadship’s Royal Van Lent yard. She received her first taste of salt water yesterday.
The 44.65-meter (147-foot) Helix follows the same general arrangement as previous F45s, with all staterooms (four guest cabins and the master suite) on the main deck. When two extra friends or family are aboard, they can stay in the owner’s lounge. Eight crewmembers plus two in the captain’s cabin are also accommodated onboard. Top speed should be 14.5 knots, powered by twin 1,055-hp MTUs.
There is one notable difference about Helix in comparison to other F45 megayachts: She’s the first to feature the Nautical interior decor scheme. Created by Sinot Branding & Design, the theme is more modern, with fabric-lined walls framed in mahogany, rather than the perennially popular all-wood paneling. It lends a lightness and brightness to the 9.2-meter (30-foot) beam.
If you’d like to get a better look at Helix, which totes snorkeling and scuba gear as well as a Nautica RIB, she’ll debut at next month’s Monaco Yacht Show.
And in case you’re wondering what the previous F45s were, wonder no more: Harle, Space, TV, and Sirius (now Gladiator).
