The largest megayacht built in Turkey is a few days from delivery from Proteksan-Turquoise.
Vicky, a.k.a. Proteksan-Turquoise NB54, the megayacht’s hull number, measures 238 feet (72.6 meters). Styling is by H2 Yacht Design, with naval architecture provided by Proteksan-Turquoise’s in-house department. The two teams last collaborated on Talisman C, a slightly smaller superyacht (231 feet, or 70.54 meters). In fact, Vicky’s hull design is derived from that of Talisman C. Draft is 13’5” (4.1 meters).
Vicky‘s performance is also the same. Sea trials have confirmed a 17-knot top end and 15-knot cruise speed, given twin 2,447-hp Caterpillar diesels. Range at the 15-knot cruise should be 4,750 nautical miles. With Vicky dialed back to 12 knots, range should be 7,000 nautical miles. That’s more than enough should the megayacht’s owner decide to embark on a world cruise the way Talisman C’s owner did.
Even with the similarities, Proteksan-Turquoise’s Vicky is also a yacht of her own. The new megayacht’s windows are far more prominent, plus she has a helipad on the foredeck. There are additionally balconies to each side.
Vicky has a nice mix of accommodations. Children get a dedicated stateroom, with two VIPs, three other guest staterooms, and the master suite catering to the grown-up set. Eighteen crewmembers are housed in 10 cabins, and the captain of course has his own cabin. Interior design is by H2 Yacht Design; no details on materials used have been released yet.
Guests get a handful of watertoys to enjoy, too. a Novurania RIB, a limo tender, and two Kawasaki PWCs are aboard NB54.
Proteksan-Turquoise’s Vicky is Lloyd’s classed.
