It’s that time of year again: Megayacht News’ annual Spectacular Superyachts calendar is here, and it’s already generating buzz. Early copies were provided at the Fort Lauderdale boat show to the shipyards whose yachts are featured, and some of those copies have been seen by readers such as you. Suffice it to say that our inboxes have more than a few emails asking when you can buy your own.
In keeping with the tradition established last year, a portion of the sales are being donated to a charitable cause. This time it’s the International SeaKeepers Society, which many yacht owners and yachting industry companies alike support.
While you’re helping the International SeaKeepers Society support important ocean research, you can admire some of the most impressive megayachts afloat. The remarkable catamaran Hemisphere, built by Pendennis, graces the cover of the Spectacular Superyachts calendar and is additionally featured inside. Other featured beauties include the striking new Feadship Tango, Vitters Shipyard’s performance sloop Sarissa, the dramatic Blohm+Voss build Palladium, and the stunning Hodgdon Yachts ketch Scheherazade.
When hung on the wall, the Megayacht News Spectacular Superyachts calendar measures 16 inches long by 11 inches wide, a standard format. Each full-page image is accompanied by date boxes where you can fill in important reminders. Major U.S. holidays and the phases of the moon are already provided.
The Spectacular Superyachts 2013 calendar, available for US$20, can be shipped throughout the United States and overseas, via the PayPal button below. All orders are processed within two weeks.
UPDATE, NOVEMBER 16, 2012: This video about what SeaKeepers does will be of benefit to those of you who may not be familiar with its focus.
Julie Perry
Diane, I just ordered mine — and I’m contemplating a second to give as a gift. I have both the 2011 and 2012 editions hanging in my office now. (Yep, I kept 2011 up all year during 2012 to continue enjoying the views.)
The calendar is done so well. And as I now live in a land-locked area, the vision of these spectacular vessels adorning my walls takes me back to my days working at sea (as a yacht stewardess) and reminds me of my wonderful colleagues and friends in the superyacht industry. The photos you’ve chosen over the years truly are spectacular, and I’ve no doubt 2013 will be the best yet!
It is wonderful that part of the proceeds benefits the International SeaKeepers Society. What a terrific cause to support!
THANK YOU, Diane!
