The third time’s the charm for Anthony Simboli (below, at right, with Michael Joyce, CEO of Hargrave Custom Yachts). He’s just commissioned his third yacht from Hargrave, to be christened Gigi III.
Gigi III will be a 130-foot (39.6-meter) trideck design. That’s slightly larger than her predecessor, Gigi II (above), and a different configuration The latter, delivered in 2013, is a 125-foot (38-meter) raised-pilothouse megayacht.
Full details on Gigi III are being kept close to the vest. (“Hey, I want everyone to be surprised at what we create this time!” Simboli says.) However, perhaps some hints can be taken from the 125. For example, all three guest staterooms aboard her are kings. In addition—and arguably even more noteworthy—all of the crew cabins have private heads. Gigi II also has lovely custom art glass, walnut wood with zebrano accents, and stainless steel inlays in marble. Even the stairway leading down to the guest stateroom foyer is grand. The last few treads widen by a good foot and a half, for dramatic effect.
Since Gigi II was designed around both charter and private use, Gigi III might also follow suit. We’ll all just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, her predecessor is for sale, on display this week at the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami. For an advanced look, check out the Gigi II photo gallery here on MegayachtNews.com.
