We’re getting the first glimpses of the nearly completed Benetti FB265, a 207-footer (63-meter) that’s been in the works for the past several years. Benetti FB265 (the hull number, though her name has been rumored to be Romantic) was spotted outside of the builder’s facility in Livorno, Italy last week.
Thus far scant details have been released on Benetti FB265. The yard’s in-house team has been overseeing both naval architecture and exterior styling. The photo below was taken in 2012, when Benetti FB265 was rolled out of her fabrication shed and into an outfitting shed. Unfortunately, there is still no word on the interior designer or the decor scheme. It does, however, seem logical to surmise that the master suite is on either the main deck or upper deck and that Benetti FB265 has a beach club, given current trends.
Among the few things that we do know: The four-deck-high megayacht should see a maximum speed of 16½ knots once sea trials are conducted. She’s powered by twin Caterpillar diesels. Benetti FB265 is further voluminous, with a gross tonnage of 1,150.
Here are some photos taken last week, followed by a video that helps put that voluminous nature of Benetti FB265 into perspective, since you can see people aboard and smaller yachts nearby:
