Amer Yachts has added another 100-foot-plus model to its lineup. She’s the Amer 110, and she’s already under contract, for delivery in 2017.
The Amer 110 will feature Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, which is proven to be more fuel-efficient than traditional diesels. Even with a total of four of these engines aboard the Amer 110, the equipment will occupy less space in the engine room, too. This in turn allows for more floor space on the lower deck for guest accommodations.
Amer Yachts has not yet provided details on the general arrangement for this first Amer 110. Given the rendering here, particularly the large hull ports, the master may be below decks. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to find that the Amer 110 also allows for a main-deck master. That flexibility is something offered with the Amer Cento, a slightly smaller megayacht model. Also for that project, you have a choice of three or four guest staterooms below decks, with the three-cabin version including a full-beam VIP. If you opt for the below-decks master, two guest staterooms accompany it.
Regardless of interior configuration, the Amer 110 continues the yard’s tradition of offering flying-bridge models. The all-around windscreen will come in handy when the yacht is traveling at a good turn of speed. So, too, will the fixed hardtop if you wish to get a respite from the sun. And, a seating area nestled into the foredeck of the Amer 110 will be a good place to take in an anchorage or enjoy sunset cocktails.
We’ll have more on this first Amer 110 as further information becomes available.
