An all-fiberglass Dreamline 30 is under construction by DL Yachts Dreamline, the first in that series from the Italian builder. The 98-foot (30-meter) series is the third model the yard has introduced in three years, too.
DL Yachts Dreamline focuses on megayachts from 85 to 161 feet (26 to 49 meters, respectively). Its operations are near Ancona, Italy, offering fiberglass or aluminum hulls. (Customers can choose their preference.) The Dreamline 30 joins the Dreamline 26 series, which has hull number five in build. It further complements the Dreamline 34 series, which has two contracts thus far.
The Dreamline 30 is being built for delivery in 2017. Like her sister series, she features naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects, though with a hull design solely for her. DL Yachts Dreamline calls it a “blade” hull form, saying it’s more fuel-efficient and seaworthy.
Also like the other Dreamline projects, the Dreamline 30 bears styling and interior design from Team for Design-Enrico Gobbi. The owner requested a main-deck master with wrap-around windows (above). More light can enter the saloon, too, thanks to a sliding door to port leading out to a balcony. While eight guests are accommodated below, the yard notes that the fourth guest cabin can instead be a spa with an opening platform to the sea. The owner additionally requested a sundeck fitted with a sliding sunroof. As for crew, the captain and four crewmembers are all housed forward below decks. They have direct access to the galley. They also get an alfresco helm, on the sundeck, in addition to the enclosed wheelhouse. That wheelhouse, by the way, has wing stations to each side, for close-quarters maneuvering. The Dreamline 30 should see a 1,500-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, under MTU power. Twin 1,920- and 2,600-hp MTUs are standard. Siemens hybrid propulsion is an option.
With a 23’6” (7.2-meter) beam, the Dreamline 30 is open to a good deal of customization. DL Yachts Dreamline will permit some changes to the superstructure, for example, besides interior personalization.
