Less than two years after Italy-based DL Yachts Dreamline presented its first Dreamline project, it has launched its fourth. She’s also the third hull in its Dreamline 26 series.
The Dreamline 26 measures 85 feet (26 meters), a size that most shipyards offer as either a fully production model or with limited semi-custom options, primarily pertaining to interior decor. DL Yachts lets owners select the build materials (fiberglass or aluminum) plus a choice of six engine packages, two of which employ hybrid propulsion. The builder itself additionally introduces technological upgrades from time to time. To this latter point, hull number three of the Dreamline 26 series has a lithium-ion battery bank to run the hotel load. It can do so for eight hours, thereby saving the gensets operating hours and eliminating emissions. This also eliminates the vibration that comes from gensets, as minor as it might be aboard some modern megayachts.
Another upgrade, surely made in conjunction with the owners: This Dreamline 26 complies with RINA Green Plus classification. It’s a voluntary notation governing a variety of environmental-minded items, ranging from emissions to potential water pollution.
While the builder has not divulged details on the interior, each Dreamline 26 can accommodate eight passengers, plus two crewmembers and the captain. All except for the owners are housed below decks. The master stateroom doesn’t occupy the full beam, however, since the megayacht has walk-around decks. Regardless, beam overall is healthy, at 21’8” (6.65 meters).
Hull number three is set for delivery in time for the summer season in the Med. Meanwhile, the shipyard recently started hulls six and seven of the Dreamline 26. These join hulls four and five, in far more advanced stages of construction. Hulls four and five are under contract, while six and seven are available for sale. Furthermore, hull number two of the Dreamline 34 is in build. She’s set for delivery around this time next year. And finally, the first Dreamline 30 is under construction.
