Construction is well underway on a steel and aluminum megayacht joining ISA Yachts’ super-sleek Gran Turismo series. She’s the ISA GT 45. What’s more, she now has a buyer. The owner won’t have to wait too long before putting her sporty styling and long range to use, either. Delivery is set for next year.
ISA Yachts introduced the GT series several years back. The series name is the same as that of the famed Italian coupe automobiles, the grand tourers of the 1950s in particular. While those cars were also fast, ISA Yachts emphasized the touring aspect, and therefore good range at economical speeds. Interestingly, the first GT series launch was nearly the same size as this GT 45, which is 147’6” (45 meters). Philmi hit the water in 2014, with the largest and perhaps most famous seeing delivery a few months later. Okto is an ISA 66M Gran Turismo.
The new-generation ISA GT 45 has a different stylist than the prior deliveries, however. The lines come from Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design. You’ll see modern-day must-haves like oversize windows along the main deck. But, the studio still preserved the coupe influences, of course. It further incorporated hallmarks of previous ISA projects, like the pronounced arches rising aft from the hull through the superstructure.
Inside, the ISA GT 45 bears the work of Luca Dini Design. An owner’s party of eight get staterooms on the main deck (master) and lower deck (guests). The master suite additionally has a fold-down balcony, as well as private access to the foredeck sunning spot. All guests get to use the glass-fronted beach club/gym, and a significant-size swimming pool. Luca Dini Design and the owner are striving for a modern ambiance, blending natural materials with carbon fiber and other unexpected materials. For example, carbon fiber features prominently in the custom furnishings.
The shipyard expects the ISA GT 45 to see a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots.
