Superyachts are about as common in St. Tropez in summertime as ice-cream trucks are across America. That may make some residents and visitors to the seaside resort not pay too much attention to the boats in the harbor. However, the show that the 178-foot (54-meter) megayacht El Leon put on there a few months ago definitely turned heads. She was a virtual canvas for creativity, a dazzling display of lights and holograms.
You may remember that in August, we shared another video of the megayacht in that very city. However, that was more of a typical overview of her creature comforts and technical features. By contrast, this video is dramatically different. Actually, you can simply say that it is dramatic.
A Mangusta GranSport 54, El Leon puts on quite the show here for nearly eight minutes, as you’ll see. Watch as she changes colors and even appears to change shapes, “morphing” into abstract sculpture at one point. Cityscapes and seascapes suddenly appear on her side, too, with fish jumping and swimming along her structure. (Don’t miss the three lions, echoing her name, which show up around the five-minute mark.) At one point, El Leon even appears to break into tiny pieces, which reassemble in fiery tones that accentuate her sleek styling. Every moment is perfectly synchronized with stirring music.
In our short-attention-span world, an eight-minute video is a long production. However, watching El Leon is worth every second. You won’t be disappointed.
