By the end of March next year, former NBA player Tony Parker should have his first megayacht in his hands. He’s christening her Infinity Nine.
Parker, who also owns the French basketball team ASVEL Basket, has visited Turkey-based AvA Yachts during the yacht’s construction several times. He’s pictured below during one recent visit, in fact. The yacht is hull number two of AvA’s Kando 110 series, which saw the contract signing in 2018. An explorer-style yacht, Infinity Nine features a steel hull and measures 115 feet (35 meters) LOA. Since long-distance voyaging is a priority for the series, the yard says the yacht should exceed a 6,500-nautical-mile range at 10 knots under Volvo Penta power.
A good-size crowd can come along on those voyages, too. Infinity Nine accommodates 12, including Parker and his wife in the master suite. Notably, the master, sitting aft on the upper deck, occupies 312 square feet (29 square meters). It’s full beam, too, plus has full-height windows. Beam is 25’6” (7.8 meters). The five double guest staterooms, meanwhile, are on the lower deck of this four-deck yacht.
Although illustrations or photos aren’t yet available, AvA Yachts says the interior that Parker and his wife have planned has “radical” touches. This applies to rooms like the 489-square-foot (45.4-square-meter) saloon and dining area. It also applies to the beach club and a gym on the upper deck.
Outside, meanwhile, Infinity Nine has a hot tub on the partially shaded flying bridge. Each of the decks offers guests good spaces for sitting to take in the view as well as sunning.
Atilla Küçükdiker, AvA Yachts’ chairman and founder, says, “We are proud and confident that Mr. Parker will have the yacht of his dreams, and that M/Y Infinity Nine will be a pleasurable ownership experience for him and his family.”
