Yacht owners looking forward to thrilling speeds of 33 knots at top end and 28 knots while cruising will be able to do so in about two years. They’ve signed a contract for a Baglietto 41m Superfast, an open megayacht.
The all-aluminum project, measuring 134’5” (41 meters), leaves no doubt as to her sporty intention. It starts with the champagne paint job, and continues with the styling by Francesco Paszkowski’s studio. Of course, it further includes her propulsion package, triple MTU engines.
Since she’s an open design, the Baglietto 41m Superfast puts a lot of emphasis on alfresco living, as well as the indoor-outdoor connection. So, for instance, the main aft deck has a good-size sunning area and lounge. Yet another sunning space and comfortable area for casual conversations sits fully forward. Up top, meanwhile, more relaxation and conversation can take place, especially with the captain, since a second helm sits forward. For lunches at anchor, the owners and guests can seek the shade of the main-deck dining area. However, they can keep the sliding doors aft and to the side open.
Interestingly, the owners didn’t request a main-deck master suite. Instead, their cabin is below decks along with three guest staterooms. Naturally, though, their suite is full beam. Two twin staterooms can convert to doubles, while a VIP awaits extra-special friends and family.
So far, the shipyard isn’t revealing a name, or even a project name, for the yacht. She is, however, hull number 10242. The Baglietto 41m Superfast should be delivered in 2023. Furthermore, she’ll meet ABS classification.
The yacht joins a few other contracts under construction at Baglietto’s two shipyards in La Spezia and Carrara. These include a slightly smaller DOM133 as well as a 171-foot (52-meter) more traditional motoryacht. Baglietto has a few spec builds underway, too.
