If you’re planning to cruise The Bahamas this year, mark July 4th weekend on your calendar. Briland Club on Harbour Island is holding a special preview in advance of the official opening of its new megayacht marina, which is managed by IGY Marinas.
Briland Club is an in-development, 27-acre waterfront community combining the marina with a variety of residences. Additionally, it will have restaurants, a spa, a golf simulator, and other amenities. Marina guests will have full access to these amenities upon completion in 2023. In the meantime, the marina itself will accommodate yachts and megayachts from 70 to upwards of 250 feet (21.3 to 76.2 meters). It’s getting hurricane-rated floating docks, in-slip fueling, and other benefits like high-speed internet, too.
Furthermore, Briland Club’s marina is walking distance to the best of what Harbor Island has to offer. For instance, historic Dunmore Town is perfect for shutterbugs, who’ll enjoy taking pictures of the pastel-colored colonial homes here. Also walking-distance away is the famous Pink Sands Beach, tops on many people’s must-see list. Then, of course, you can go snorkeling and diving amid the giant coral reefs just off the beach. If you’ve previously visited Harbor Island, the Briland Club property contains the well-known Haunted House. The owners are restoring it.
The marina is part of the Briland Club’s first phase of development. While the official marina opening takes place the third quarter of this year, July 4 weekend is a pre-opening ceremony. To receive an invitation to it, email IGY Marinas. Slips should have access to water and power. Dockhands will be available as well to assist. And, a variety of activities are available for owners and crews to enjoy.
