Just as the walls of a house don’t have to be white, the exterior color scheme of a yacht doesn’t have to be, either. Therefore, if given the choice among five different paints, which would you choose? Heesen wants your opinion, expressly for its Project Skyfall color contest. You might just win a trip to the megayacht’s launch, too, next January.
Heesen signed the new build, complete with a fishing cockpit and 22,000-hp engines, as well as stowage for 40 rods, in 2019. The owner is an avid angler, as you may have guessed from those details. The high horsepower should deliver a 37-knot top speed under light load, in combination with waterjets. Delivery is set for 2023.
Even with such an unusual emphasis on fishing for a superyacht, however, Project Skyfall has several typical features. For instance, guests will enjoy a beach club, which includes a wellness area. They’ll also enjoy movie nights in a media room forward on the main deck. It additionally includes a games table. The full owner’s party of 12 also has four staterooms below decks and a bridge-deck master suite for sweet dreams of mammoth marlin and other big-game fish.
Styling for the nearly 194-footer (59-meter), with a volume of 900 gross tons, is by Omega Architects. Interestingly, she will venture out on the world’s oceans with a 79-foot (24-meter) Vanquish tender, featuring design by Guido de Groot’s studio. Here’s where your creativity come into play for the Project Skyfall color contest. The shipyard has renderings of the two boats with matching paint schemes. Specifically, the choices are Desert Tan, Eggshell White, Ice Blue (top), Medium Gray (above), and Vestal White. The owner and shipyard are eager to learn your opinions.
