Tecnomar, one of the brands of The Italian Sea Group, continues to find success among yacht owners who enjoy a good turn of speed, and equally sporty styling. The fourth EVO 120 hull has hit the water.
Dating back to 2018, the EVO 120 series stands out for a few things. Firstly, the 121-footer (37-meter) features all-aluminum construction, whereas the majority of megayachts in this size range are fiberglass. Secondly, every yacht in the series, including Ma Vie (top), the first launch, has sinuous, strong styling. There’s even automotive influence as well. The exterior looks and naval architecture come from The Italian Sea Group’s in-house departments. Additionally, and suiting a superyacht with these looks, the shipyard says the top speed is 21 knots. Power comes from a pair of 2,600-hp MTUs, further allowing a 19-knot cruising speed.

Since the series is semi-custom, the fourth EVO 120 reveals the flexibility that clients enjoy. Tecnomar suggests four to five staterooms, but this launch has just three staterooms. They’re all below decks, too, including the full-beam master. The Italian Sea Group does not mention whether an independent designer collaborated with the owner. Generally speaking, however, the designer Gian Marco Campanino heads up the shipyard’s interior-design office. The shipyard does reveal, though, that all the furnishings are custom made, in Italy. Interestingly, automotive design elements are present in some of those same furnishings. Overall, the decor reflects a subtle, welcoming color scheme.
For times when the owner and guests are at anchor, this fourth EVO 120 provides them with an infinity hot tub on the cozy sundeck. More people can stretch out to soak up the sun on the large sunpads just forward of the wheelhouse and at the bow. A tender just shy of 15 feet (4.5 meters) and other toys all stow in the aft garage.
