A 125-footer (38-meter) these days more often than not is a semi-custom superyacht. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. Enterprise, which launched last weekend at Baglietto, is a good example.
In fact, Fabio Ermetto, the CCO of the shipyard, says she’s “a highly innovative custom project.” The owners shed more light on how the project came to be. According to the husband, he and his wife visited the shipyard about three years ago. They liked the designs and construction approach, plus, he says, “an interest in building relationships with customers from the U.S.” Even more noteworthy, “Our shared vision was to break the mold. Not to build a boat that was typical and expected.”
Therefore, the trideck embraces both bold and explorer-like lines. Soft lines appear, too, especially aft. Styling is by Francesco Paszkowski Design, which additionally gave her a plumb bow at the owners’ request. The all-aluminum yacht “will make a statement wherever she goes,” the husband states. “People will ask, ‘What is it?’ They will know it is unique. They will know it’s a Baglietto.”
Something that certainly sets her apart: big volume for her size. Enterprise comes in at 440 gross tons.
With transatlantic range and a top speed of 18 knots with Caterpillar power, Enterprise is undergoing final finishing touches. Baglietto has not revealed what the interior design looks like. However, it does say that the owner’s wife collaborated with the shipyard’s in-house team. A nearly 29-foot (8.8-meter) beam and, of course, large windows lining the sides lend extra appeal.
Notably, Ermetto believes other clients will appreciate what the owners of Enterprise achieved with the shipyard. “She has definitely the potential to become the first of a series,” he asserts. You can see for yourself at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
In related news, Enterprise launched two days after Baglietto splashed Attitude. The month of May overall was pretty busy for the shipyard, seeing three total launches. The super-fast Rush kicked things off the first week, in fact.
