IGY Marinas and two partners have won the rights to operate a facility just 10 minutes from Ibiza’s airport in Spain and, of course, in proximity to the city’s world-famous nightlife. IGY Ibiza Marina is already welcoming yachts and megayachts this summer, in fact.
With berths available for superyachts to 361 feet (110 meters), the marina is in the Port of Ibiza. It’s further among the few in the Balearics with quayside dockage for large yachts. IGY Marinas partnered with two companies to sign a temporary concession agreement for the facility. Those partners are Ocean Capital Partners and Grupo Empresas Matutes. Ocean Capital Partners specializes in consulting, management, and investment in ports and the maritime industry. It has prior experience collaborating with IGY, too, specifically with IGY Málaga Marina near Gibraltar. Grupo Empresas Matutes, meanwhile, is a locally based hospitality group.
Amenities-wise, the partners are adding improvements to IGY Ibiza Marina following the summer season. Specifically, concierge services, boutique shops, a marina office, crew facilities, power up to 1,600 amps, CCTV, and more are coming. Currently, though, several things make the property attractive. For instance, it’s steps from a World Heritage Site, the Old Town. Besides the above-mentioned nightlife, plenty of restaurants and shops are nearby as well.
“Ibiza is a marquis yachting haven that perfectly integrates with the goal of IGY Trident to seamlessly connect the world’s most enticing yachting destinations by offering certainty on a global scale through guaranteed dockage across our industry-leading marina network,” says Tom Mukamal, IGY Marinas’ CEO.
IGY Ibiza Marina is now the company’s 24th marina, among 13 countries.
