The Damen Yachting team bid fair skies and following seas to the owners and crew of the superyacht M&EM. The yacht is hull number seven in the Amels 242 Limited Editions series.
As such, M&EM joins a family of deliveries that include projects like Avanti, Synthesis, and Plvs Vltra, among others. Notably, Avanti headed out on her maiden adventures this year, too. All of the Amels 242 yachts (242 feet/74 meters in length) bear signature styling by Tim Heywood. They all have impressive volume, too, that being 1,790 gross tons, along with an ample beam of 41 feet (12.46 meters). Additionally, each has a engineering package promising transoceanic abilities, with Avanti and M&EM further meeting the Tier III emissions regulations from the IMO as well.
Since clients can choose their own interior designer, the owners of the superyacht M&EM decided to collaborate with Winch Design. Although photos aren’t available at this time, the ambience should be restful and welcoming. Particularly noteworthy, the owners have a full deck for themselves. Besides including a forward-facing bedroom, ideal for waking up to beautiful anchorages, the deck has a pool fully aft. Family members and friends can stay in five staterooms on other decks. Neither the shipyard nor the owners’ representatives have revealed the specific layout. Regardless, previous Amels 242 customers have requested two VIP suites on the main deck and three ample staterooms on the lower deck.
The owners made more custom requests as well. They wanted increased capacity for a helicopter, for example. Furthermore, they have a different transom arrangement.
Nineteen crewmembers and the captain are commanding this blue-hulled yacht. She’s already departed Europe for the winter season, too.
