The Radež shipyard in Croatia has three superyachts to its name so far, with its fourth nearing completion. She’s the sailing yacht Scorpios, belonging to an experienced cruiser. You can see her for yourself starting in August, since he plans to offer her for charter in Croatia.
Notably, the owner commissioned her purposely for charter guests to enjoy, having previously owned charter yachts, too. In the central fleet of Croatia-based Otium Yachts, the nearly 170-foot (52-meter) Scorpios will home port in Croatia as well.
The owner was quite involved to ensure your charter is a relaxing—or invigorating, if you prefer—trip. In fact, he even personally selected the 10-person crew. Additionally, he maximized the sense of space amid the 31-foot (9.52-meter) beam, especially in the saloon (above). Neutral tones and herringbone-pattern wood soles welcome you when you come above deck in the morning or want to escape the heat of the day. Even though the main deck has an open-plan layout, lounging and dining activities have a sense of separation. A bar in the saloon lets the crew serve your favorite beverages regardless of which “zone” you’re in as well. It even extends to the fold-down balcony off the dining area, where you’ll surely want to take in the views.
The staterooms, including a full-beam master and full-beam VIP, soothe the soul with soft tones and textures. Think muted greys, subtle blues, and warm woods. The en suite baths, replete with brass, marble, and wood, pick up on the same colors, for continuity.
Of course, Croatia’s waters are some of the prettiest in the world, so you’ll spend most of your time outside. The main-aft deck aboard the sailing yacht Scorpios surely will be your preferred breakfast spot. Actually, it suits dinner, too, thanks to special lighting. Indulge in pre-dinner cocktails just aft, where an L-shape settee and loose chairs invite good conversations.
For the ultimate views during meals, though, the flying bridge aboard the sailing yacht Scorpios is the place to be. It’s really a relax-all-day-into-night deck, with sunpads, a hot tub, a bar, a dining table, and plentiful seating. Glass balustrades encircle the deck, preserving the vistas.
All that’s left to do is plan your dates, and look forward to playing on the watertoys.
