The old saying “go big or go home” comes to mind in learning that some owners’ first new-build superyachts exceed 200 feet (61 meters). Although rare, it does happen. Most recently, it happened with the owners of the Feadship Arrow superyacht, a 246-footer (75-meter) that saw delivery in 2020. Not only is she their first large new build, but also she’s a significant first for her build and design teams.
Indeed, the yacht is the first Feadship from the drawing boards of H2 Yacht Design. Further to that point, Arrow bears both exterior styling as well as interior design from the London-based studio. Jonny Horsfield, H2 Yacht Design’s head, has earned renown for combining sharp angles and soft curves. Arrow—whose owners have her for sale with Fraser Yachts—follows suit. In fact, her chiseled lines, strong bow, and sculpted superstructure all commanded attention at her launch as Feadship project 703 back in late 2019. The more you study her overall profile, the more complex details you see.
Such a strong statement in exterior style pairs with equally strong individual design statements inside and on deck. For instance, while you might not think of glass as a bold statement, using it as exterior railings and bulwarks is. Side decks are quite wide, too, and each deck has significant headroom. Alfresco areas, meanwhile, feature extravagantly detailed furnishings—far more detailed than you’ll see outside on nearly any other superyacht. The furnishings are therefore much more reminiscent of ones welcoming guests into saloons, upper-deck lounges, and more. Adding more to the bold alfresco ambience: back-lit marble.
From marvelous mosaics lining her hot tub on the sundeck—where a pizza oven nourishes guests—to a wow-factor bar (top) and massage/sauna in her beach club, the Arrow superyacht amenities dazzle the senses.
Fittingly, Arrow has yet one more first up her sleeve. She’s exhibiting at a U.S. boat show for the first time. Specifically, she’ll be at this month’s Palm Beach International Boat Show, the largest brokerage yacht on display, too. She’s available for select visits via Fraser Yachts.
