The largest series in Custom Line’s planing line of megayachts continues to attract customers from around the globe. A client from the AMAS (Asia, Middle East, Africa) region christened the second Custom Line 140 yacht hull in early June.
With the team of craftspeople who built her looking on, the megayacht showed off her styling by Francesco Paszkowski Design. The series is the third so far to result from Custom Line and the studio’s collaboration. Paszkowski notes that he blended other Custom Line model design cues, especially their sporty lines, with styles more reminiscent of residential architecture. The combination therefore lends the series a somewhat familiar look, yet allows it to have its own identity.
The launch comes less than a year after the first Custom Line 140 premiered, at the Cannes Yachting Festival. This latest 140-footer (nearly 43-meter) follows in her footsteps with five staterooms, including the master suite. All of the guests’ cabins are, naturally, below decks, while the owner’s stateroom is on the main deck. Further in traditional fashion, the crew has dedicated stairways and passageways to allow them to handle tasks without cutting through guest areas.

Despite her traditional appearance, however, the second Custom Line 140 yacht is fully her owner’s vision. Throughout the interior, abundant marbles and granites appear—colorful ones, too. Specifically, the owner requested richly toned Volga Blue granite, which is a deep midnight blue background. Equally deep Sahara Noir (black) marble, Orobico marble (grey), and Calacatta Gold marble (white, grey, and gold) set the ambience. So, too, does carbon-finished American walnut paneling. Overall, throughout the four decks, the owner further requested neutral colors mixed with darker ones like blue, tobacco, and smoke green.
The fact that the project has four decks is yet another non-traditional fact. Custom Line developed the model to appeal to owners wishing to step up in size and have the feeling of a floating villa or loft. With a volume of 398 gross tons, the second Custom Line 140 yacht boasts more than 2,150 square feet (200 square meters) of alfresco space. Inside, meanwhile, she has even more, 3,223 square feet (300 square meters).
The owner of this second hull will still be able to enjoy the summer season on the yacht’s maiden voyage.
