A family with more than a dozen members who enjoy cruising together are another step closer to adventures aboard the Seaview 40M yacht. She peeked out this week from her build shed at Brazil-based MCP Yachts. But, she’s not quite ready yet for lowering into the water. Instead, she’s entered her finishing shed, to receive her paint coats and start the outfitting stage.
The yacht is for a big family with big plans. In fact, the owner requested that the custom 133-footer (40.7-meter) have a total of seven staterooms onboard, for 18 people. The relatives clearly enjoy each other’s company, since four of the seven cabins group together on the main deck. Further unusual, just two VIP staterooms are below decks. The naval architects and designers at Vripack, collaborating with MCP Yachts for the project, say it required being more creative with space planning, especially to ensure a balance between private and public areas.

The layout works for this family in a few more ways. For instance, the main-deck staterooms are in proximity to a big TV lounge. Everyone will enjoy meals just aft of here, outside. The owner, meanwhile, has prime, secluded space for his suite on the upper deck. It additionally has a private alfresco area forward. Simultaneously, the crew has dedicated access to all the decks, much like larger megayachts do.
While all of these areas were important to the owner, so, too, was the skylounge. Interestingly, the skylounge configuration explains “Seaview” in “Seaview 40M yacht.” Not only is it a full-beam area, but also it has extra-large glass. In a way, the owner’s suite has bearing on the name, too. It has a picture-window-like view out over the private alfresco area, complete with a settee.

An all-aluminum megayacht, the Seaview 40M yacht project bears interiors by Leonardo Rotsen, a South American designer. Thus far, the shipyard isn’t revealing information about the color schemes or materials.
Once the yacht is in the water, she should hit a top speed of 19 knots with Caterpillar power. She’ll meet RINA classification standards.
