Codecasa F81 Yacht Less Than 1 Year From Completion

With metal cutting and welding complete, the Codecasa F81 project has transferred from the yard’s site in Pisa, Italy, to its fit-out headquarters in Viareggio. Foggy conditions added a bit of visual drama to her maneuvers once on land, as if to heighten awareness of the spectacle.

Construction on this steel-and-aluminum Codecasa 57 series superyacht began one year ago. The 186-footer (57-meter) remains largely confidential, although a few facts are available. Codecasa’s own technical team is responsible for styling and naval architecture, for instance. This is a common practice for the yard, too. Interior design is further from a Codecasa-owned department. Some previous owners have collaborated with the team, while others have selected independent studios.

Regardless, the Codecasa F81 yacht will have a traditional layout with six staterooms. Six cabins for 12 crew will be below decks as well, while the captain has quarters adjacent to the wheelhouse. Conveniently, an elevator will connect the below-decks guest cabins to the remainder of the upper decks, including the sundeck. Up top, the owners and guests can enjoy a swim in the pool while taking in terrific views.

Since leisurely voyages and long range are priorities for the Codecasa 57 series, the Codecasa F81 has a full-displacement hull. According to the shipyard, she should see a best range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Top speed, meanwhile, should be 17 knots under light load.

Interior fit-out and systems installations will be ongoing in Viareggio straight through to launch day.

The news comes a few months after another recently delivered Codecasa, the yacht Gioia, embarked on her maiden voyage. She’s a 141-footer (43-meter) in the Codecasa 43 series.
