Fully Custom Yacht ALY651 Set to Be Alia Yachts’ Biggest

By length as well as by volume, a project currently under construction at Alia Yachts will be its largest ever. The fully custom yacht ALY651, where “65” is her LOA in meters, will rise four decks high, too.

Specifics about the yacht’s dimensions are scarce. Alia Yachts will only say her LOA is 213 feet (65 meters) and that her volume will rival that of a 262-footer (80-meter). But, construction started recently, since the contract signing occurred late last year. As expected, she’ll have a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure.

The owner selected two Dutch design studios to collaborate. Diana Yacht Design is handling the naval architecture. Meanwhile, Sinot Yacht Design & Naval Architecture is responsible for both the exterior styling and the interior design. Previously, the shipyard and the Sinot studio collaborated on the yacht SAN, which departed on her maiden voyage last summer. SAN, a 148-footer (45-meter), is the longest yacht featuring Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion as well. “Alia Yachts is thrilled to be working with Sinot again on such a large and prestigious project,” notes Gökhan Çelik, the yard’s president.

Despite technical details being few, Alia Yachts can share a few insights into the rooms and amenities. Firstly, the “engaged owner” has requested just four guest staterooms. Even with a traditional main-deck saloon, the yacht ALY651 has a private owner’s lounge, too. It’s part of an ample master suite boasting panoramic views out floor-to-ceiling windows. As for alfresco amenities, the owner and guests should enjoy a transformable pool. Sitting on the aft main deck, the pool has a raising floor. When it’s flush with the rest of the deck, it creates extra space for big parties. Of course, a hot tub is aboard, in one of the best spots for privacy and enjoying the surroundings: the uppermost deck. Finally, speaking of privacy, the owner has a hot tub outside of his suite as well.

Although the yacht ALY651 is easily two years from completion, she won’t be the last in her size range. This is according to Çelik. “We fully expect to be busier than ever at this end of the market,” he says.
