The warm, waning days of spring welcomed a new project to the water at Mangusta’s shipyard. The yacht Felicità, hull number five of the Mangusta Oceano 50 series, is now just a few weeks away from her maiden voyage.
Since the first Mangusta Oceano 50 launch in 2021 (below), the shipyard has continued attracting customers for its long-range motoryacht options. Sea trials have shown the series to be capable of a 16-knot top end, for instance, and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots. The styling, from Alberto Mancini, is a big attraction, too. Chiseled, sculpted lines—especially for the upper aft deck—and an overall sporty appearance make the model stand out.
Making the yacht Felicità stand out even more, especially from her predecessors, are the custom requests from the owners. Firstly, they wanted larger windows. Secondly, the entire interior is enveloped in creams, lending lightness whether it’s daytime or night. The colors of the sea come into play, too, in subtle ways from the lounges—including a piano lounge, according to illustrations, for the upper deck—to the staterooms. In fact, the colors are playful in the four guest staterooms below decks, varying in tone from room to room to lend each its own personality. Some pops of rose, perhaps to echo the sun setting over the water, appear as well. The owners also added a full-beam gym below decks instead of a fifth stateroom, which other customers prefer. Of course, the owners’ suite on the main deck is a private retreat, nicely featuring a balcony they can deploy themselves.

With the cruising lifestyle intertwined with reaching out and touching the sea, the yacht Felicità does this best with her beach club. It’s a living room at the water’s edge, with folding sides on three sides all connecting. Furthermore, it has a hammam with a view. Swimming and soaking in soothing water can take place differently on the sundeck and upper deck. The upper deck has a pool stretching 21 feet (6.5 meters) long, with jets creating a counterflow current. Soaking takes on yet another meaning aboard Felicità with the infinity-edge pool on the sundeck.
Moran Yacht & Ship, which represented the owners throughout the build process, has the yacht for sale. Interested buyers should note that underfloor heating is yet another one of the custom requests that Mangusta added.
