The first ISA 130 Viper yacht is on pace to pounce on cruising grounds next year. Her hull arrived at the shipyard within the last several days. Further being the first hull in the Viper series, the superyacht will introduce clients to a new level of performance.
Originally introduced as the ISA Viper 120, the Viper 130 is a flying-bridge yacht. She looks long, low, and sleek, with styling from Fulvio De Simoni, renown for sinuous lines meant to turn heads. Similarly, the looks of his designs complement the performance they pledge. According to ISA Yachts, the ISA 130 Viper yacht should top out at 33 knots with triple MAN engines. Cruising speed should be equally swift, around 26 knots. Clearly, the shipyard intends to attract customers who thrill to the ride and consider the pace integral to the overall experience.

Speaking of customers, the owner of this first ISA Viper 130 yacht is an American. The owner learned about the opportunity from Zarpo Yachts. While the performance edge—engineered by the shipyard—was a big factor in signing the contract, so, too, was the layout. Alfresco areas especially are inviting. Sunbeds, settees, and a hot tub all await on the foredeck, for example. The owner can add more loose furnishings, too. A carbon-fiber hardtop shades a dining area for 12, lounge seating, and a bar on the top deck. The captain should like this sundeck as well, since the second helm is here. (The primary helm is forward on the main deck.)
Inevitably, though, the owner and guests will spend more time enjoying the beach area. It spreads out over three levels, starting with a dining area on the uppermost section. Pre- or post-lunch, family and friends can step down to a sizable, fully open lounge. A settee spanning nearly the full beam can accommodate all 10 passengers, for example, including the owner. On the same level, a big sunpad lets more than a few guests enjoy the views aft while catching rays. Amplifying the open look and feel, both bulwarks can fold down as balconies, with rails. Finally, the swim platform includes a swim ladder and is just two low steps fully aft.

Snacks and meals enjoyed outside aboard the 124-foot (38-meter) ISA Viper 130 yacht all come from a clever galley. It’s immediately inside the main deck, combined with a bar. It further has a lowering window for chatting with the chef or simply to serve only as the bar. Amplifying the sense of volume on this deck, the interior is full beam to starboard. Simultaneously, a balcony deploys to port.
Upon delivery, the owner will have a captain and up to four crew handling operations, including launching the 16-foot (5-meter) tender from a starboard-side garage. Their three cabins each have en suite baths.

While work continues on completing the carbon-composite yacht, ISA also has a Viper 100 series available.
