With all due respect to the late Walt Disney, here’s one fair lady who found her Prince Charming without having to encounter a jealous queen or seven little men.
You’re looking at the superstructure of Moonen Shipyards’ largest-ever yacht, Snow White, en route to its new construction facility in Groot-Ammers, Holland. And below is the 124-footer’s hull, also en route to the shed. Even though several Dutch shipyards transport hulls and superstructures from one location to another all the time, this delivery apparently attracted quite a lot of attention from the local residents. (Far be it for anyone in Holland to become jaded when a superyacht shipment floats by.) Once the aluminum superstructure (which was built at Moonen’s main yard in ‘s-Hertogenbosch) and steel hull (subcontracted to a yard in Gorinchem) were both at the Groot-Ammers facility, work continued without pause. Welders joined the two components, and interior outfitting proceeded, since the main engines and gensets had already been installed prior to arrival. Snow White will be delivered next spring. Here’s hoping her owner is among the happiest and not the grumpiest (nor the sneeziest) of them all.
