Project Global at Lürssen will be christened Kismet II just prior to delivery this fall. She’s the larger successor to Kismet, also built by Lürssen, back in 2007.
For comparison, Kismet was 223 feet (68 meters) LOA. Kismet II measures 308’4” (94 meters). Just like with her predecessor, Kismet II features styling by Espen Oeino and interior design by Reymond Langton Design. The megayacht was initially only known as Project Global and said to be 285 feet (87 meters).
Renderings in her preliminary charter brochure, available via her agents at Moran Yacht & Ship, reveal that Kismet II will be quite lavish. A sweeping staircase invites guests situated in the saloon, which has an ornate bar, to explore the upper decks. Full-height windows accentuate both the formal dining room and the master suite. The master suite aboard Kismet II also has a fireplace. The stone-lined tub in the master bath benefits from views out full-height windows, too.
The ten guests who’ll be accommodated aboard Kismet II will not be lacking for luxuries. Moran Yacht & Ship calls attention to a “winter garden deck,” a spa, and a pool. That pool, on the sundeck, has an adjacent hot tub. They’re both forward, too, so the views should be extraordinary. Furthermore, Kismet II has a cinema and a retractable outdoor fireplace. The latter should be interesting to see in operation. It’s the first we’ve ever heard of it aboard a yacht. Abundant sunny and shaded alfresco areas provide a variety of places for guests to enjoy the expected top speed of 17 knots.
For off-yacht excursions, Kismet II has a helicopter and certainly a flotilla of toys. The expansive swim platform also appears to have a section that flips out, perhaps to form stairs into the water or an easy tender-boarding spot. A crew of 20 will see to the owners and guests.
Kismet II is expected to be handed over in September. She’s already booking charters for the upcoming winter and following summer season. The winter will see her in the Caribbean. Come summer, she’ll be in the Med. Either way, Kismet II is available for a weekly base rate of €1.2 million (about $1.664 million at press time).
