Weeks after Feadship launched the largest motoryacht ever built in The Netherlands, Oceanco has upped the ante. Meet Y714, a.k.a. Jubilee, measuring 360 feet (110 meters). Jubilee slipped out of her build shed to horns a-blazing on March 19.
To put Jubilee into perspective, the Feadship project, previously known as hull 808 and now named Symphony, comes in at 333 feet (101.5 meters). To be clear, Symphony is a lot farther along, having undergone sea trials this past week. As you can see in the photo above and video below, Jubilee has a long way to go before delivery. Oceanco should hand her over next year or in early 2017.
Oceanco is also keeping most details about Jubilee confidential. Thus far we know the contract was signed in 2012. Styling is by Igor Lobanov, with naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects.
Besides her LOA, Jubilee is significant for being the first megayacht to take advantage of Oceanco’s newly expanded facilities. You may recall that the yard set its sights squarely on the super-size superyacht market a few years ago, primarily ones measuring 262 feet (80 meters) and above. So, it needed to build larger build and paint sheds as well as larger dry docks accordingly.

Enjoy the launch video. The aptly named Jubilee is surely making a lot of people at Oceanco and elsewhere jubilant.
