At 93 feet (28.4 meters), the VQ90 Veloce is more than twice the LOA of most of Vanquish Yachts’ current models. But she remains true to the Dutch builder’s goal of constructing extreme-speed craft.
The VQ90 Veloce is meant for a top speed exceeding 55 knots. (“Veloce” translates to “fast” from Italian.) Power will come from triple MTU engines with Arneson surface drives. Vanquish Yachts believes that when hull number one is built, the VQ90 will be among the ten fastest megayachts globally. Because speed alone is not enough, Vanquish Yachts says she’s being engineered for good maneuverability, much like a somewhat smaller yacht. On a related note, if 55+ knots is too fast for you, there is an alternative. Another version of the VQ90 can do “just” 40+ knots.
Fast yachts are often enjoyed out on deck. The VQ90 has big expanses aft. You can crank up the tunes while your captain is conquering the seas, too. Vanquish Yachts plans a sound system to rival that of a hot nightclub. Too windy to remain outside? Head inside, and open the hardtop.
Vanquish Yachts and Guido de Groot Design will work with buyers to tailor the all-aluminum yacht’s interior. Eight to 10 guests can be accommodated, for example, in four different layouts. A famous professional chef on Swiss TV, René Schudel, will design and select galley equipment with you and your chef. Even the exterior hull color offers options.
