Turquoise Yachts celebrated its first launch of the year last weekend. Measuring 154 feet (47 meters), the megayacht is christened Razan.
Until now, Razan was NB60, her hull number. Construction started on spec, with the buyer requesting a few changes to the planned looks by H2 Yacht Design. The swim platform is longer, benefitting the beach club and guests boarding watertoys. Those toys go on the foredeck, a further change. Razan’s owner requested adding a hot tub center stage on the sundeck, complementing seating and a bar. Finally, he wanted the profile to look more open and linear. H2 Yacht Design made subtle alternations to the main deck and upper deck to achieve this.
Razan retains the spirit of the original interior configuration, though. Turquoise Yachts and H2 Yacht Design wanted to incorporate features found on far bigger yachts. This is why a guest stateroom sits on the bridge deck, and why two VIPs are below decks. (Two more guest staterooms are down there, too.) It also explains why Razan has a bigger beach club. Moving the watertoys to the foredeck helps. But, the beach club aboard contains a gym and saloon-like area.
The 31’5” (9.6-meter) beam should make the megayacht feel roomy. The owner will particularly appreciate the feel, further thanks to full-height ports in the main-deck master. Similar ports make the sky lounge look and feel welcoming. The owner plans to cruise with a few generations of family, and put this room to good use.
The owner should take delivery by January. In the meantime, check out the video of Razan’s anticipated interior.
