Less than a week after launching the EXTRA 76 One, ISA Yachts has yet another, larger sister in the series under contract. She’ll be the largest in the ISA EXTRA series, a 126-footer (38.4-meter).
Regardless of length, the ISA EXTRA series has one primary goal, that being to bring in a new generation of buyers. Simultaneously, the Italian shipyard wants to treat them to big-yacht amenities and big volumes in smaller packages. Besides the above-mentioned EXTRA 76 and this 126, the other models include an 86, a 93, and a 116. Furthermore, the yard wants these newer, younger buyers to enjoy fuel-efficient cruising while pursuing long-range travel.
An all-aluminum megayacht, the ISA EXTRA 126 will cruise with her owner, from Europe, staring in summer 2019. The owner and guests will enjoy a reported top end of 17 knots. The twin MAN diesel engines should also permit a 15-knot cruise speed. However, the best range should come at 12 knots, upwards of 2,500 nautical miles.
Unfortunately, at this point, ISA is not revealing many other details. It will just say that the megayacht will accommodate 12 guests and seven crewmembers. The owner and guests get five staterooms, too. Regardless, the renderings here reveal some features. Long overhangs on each deck keep alfresco areas mostly shaded, for instance. Also, the forward portion of the upper deck seems to have an abundance of glass overhead. Perhaps the area beneath has a solarium-like ambiance.
Even with the limited details, the ISA EXTRA 126 does still stand out for one more thing. She features styling and interior design by Francesco Guida. A yacht designer and engineer by trade, Guida has collaborated with a number of builders. These include ISA’s sister company, Columbus Yachts, on the 262-foot Columbus Classic 80M. Guida also was responsible for the interior design of Clorinda, an ISA Sport 120. Other builders additionally include Arcadia Yachts and Cantiere delle Marche.
