The latest Heesen 55M Steel megayacht marked an important milestone in her construction this month, seeing her hull and superstructure come together. This means Project Pollux is 16 months from completion, and handover to owners who can step in and acquire the spec build.
Similar to her predecessors, which include the recently delivered Vida, Project Pollux has sporty, sculpted styling, with dramatic bow flare as well as floor-to-ceiling windows.
Further similar to her predecessors, the yacht features the Fast Displacement Hull Form, ensuring better fuel burn throughout the speed range. Heesen anticipates that Project Pollux will see a maximum speed of 15½ knots. The shipyard additionally expects a best range of 4,500 nautical miles at a 13-knot cruising speed. Her twin MTU engines meet Tier III emissions standards, too.
Wherever you cruise, you’ll have a voluminous 760-gross-ton floating home to enjoy. Since the yacht is in build on spec, Heesen turned to Bannenberg & Rowell to create a general arrangement and interior design with broad appeal. Of course, you can tailor it to your liking. But, if your tastes are contemporary, you might be intrigued with what the studio has selected. For instance, white-, grey-, and ivory-toned marbles combine with bronze accents from the saloon to the skylounge. In addition, smoked oak, in a chevron pattern, lies underfoot.
Project Pollux keeps this subdued ambiance flowing into the staterooms. Five staterooms await your guests, including a VIP situated on the bridge deck. The remaining four cabins are all below decks. Your stateroom, meanwhile, is in the usual location forward on the main deck. It’s an 883-square-foot (82-square-meter) retreat, adding a few taupes and creams to the color combination.
As for the toy combination, it’s up to you to select what you wish. Regardless, Project Pollux dedicates stowage to them on the foredeck, to free the transom for a beach club.
Delivery can take place in the autumn next year.
