If you own a CRN, Custom Line, Ferretti, Pershing, Riva, or Wally megayacht (or tender), service stateside just became a lot easier. Lauderdale Marine Center, the country’s largest repair facility, has a new Ferretti Group workshop and parts facility. Covering 5,000 square feet (nearly 465 square meters), the service area has dedicated staff, too, to provide and/or install what you need.
Since some of you have crew adept at routine maintenance and minor repairs, the new shop lets them select the spares they wish. But, for warranty work, true refits, and other more labor-involved matters, the service shop steps in. The employees are all trained at the above-mentioned Ferretti Group shipyards. While not offering megayachts, the Group brands Itama and Mochi Craft are represented at Lauderdale Marine Center, too. Furthermore, all the technicians go for annual re-certification. “We’re very pleased that we now can deliver complete service from under one roof,” comments Guy J. Gauvin, the after-sales and service director for Ferretti Group America. Colin Kiley, Lauderdale Marine Center’s executive vice president, adds that it should be a mutually beneficial relationship.
The service and refit yard can accommodate even the largest yachts from each of the brands. Occupying 60 acres along the New River in Fort Lauderdale, it can take yachts to 200 feet (61 meters). In addition, yachts can go under 22 covered sheds, thanks to a 485-ton-capacity hoist, or in one of 130 slips. Further noteworthy, Lauderdale Marine Center became the USA’s first duty-free yachting area within the past two years.
If you can’t get to Lauderdale Marine Center for service, it’s not an issue. The technicians can come to you, via service vans.
Regardless, the Ferretti Group shop stocks upwards of 3,000 items from Besenzoni passerelles, Cantalupi lighting, Side-Power thrusters, and more. It additionally has custom spare-parts kits.
