Confident it is tapping into a growing market, Bilgin Yachts transferred the third of its Bilgin 263 series, under construction on spec, this week. Bilgin 263-III, her reference for now, will remain in the Istanbul-based outfitting shed until delivery in 2022.
Also known as hull number NB78, the nearly 263-footer (80-meter) shares a technical platform with Tatiana, the first megayacht in the Bilgin 263 series. The second hull, still in outfitting, has this platform, too. Therefore, anticipate a 20-knot top speed. Also anticipate a range upwards of 6,000 nautical miles with the MTUs driving her at 15 knots.
Despite resembling her sisterships in styling as well, though with larger guest suite ports, Bilgin 263-III follows a different general arrangement. The shipyard and Emrecan Özgün, CEO and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, took client feedback into consideration. “We can define her as the facelift version of this series,” the designer says.
One difference comes in the beach club. It, and the adjacent spa area, are each larger than typically experienced. Another example is the owners’ suite. Aboard Bilgin 263-III, it’s forward on the upper deck, further larger than the master is on her sisterships. Yet another change is a glass elevator, pairing with circular stairs, connecting the lowest and uppermost decks. Outside, meanwhile, instead of just having a hot tub, the megayacht has a waterfall spilling down from the upper deck into the main-deck hot tub. The nearly 41-foot-wide (12.4-meter-wide) megayacht additionally has a longer top deck. Specifically, it has 11’5” (3.5 meters) more usable area aft.
The changes that Bilgin 263-III reflect don’t only benefit the owners and their guests, however. While the wheelhouse aboard Tatiana and the second hull is on the upper deck, this time around it’s on the uppermost deck. That should provide extraordinary sightlines all around.
Since Bilgin 263-III is still progressing on spec, no interior designer is attached to the project yet.
