In an ongoing effort to connect its commercial-vessel experience to the yachting sector, Rosetti Superyachts has developed a shadow-yacht concept with HydroTec. The Rosetti 55-meter Support Vessel serves the same role as other support craft. However, she does so with a full luxury interior, a departure from the typical approach right now.
This 180-footer (55-meter) “embodies the DNA of Rosetti Marino’s experience in the naval sector,” says Ermanno Bellettini, Rosetti Superyachts’ chairman and CEO. As such, she has a hull design intended to take on both good and sloppy sea and weather conditions. Furthermore, she has long-range capabilities, with twin 2,600-hp diesel engines. Simultaneously, Bellettini says, she is “a more comfortable and refined version of a commercial vessel.”
Serving the supporting role, the Rosetti 55-meter Support Yacht has a 2,411-square-foot (224-square-meter) aft deck for tenders and toys. Similarly, the elongated, open deck leaves room for a helipad, and a hefty crane for launching and retrieving big boats and personal submarines. The same deck, and crane, can accommodate hefty containers for transporting, say, long-term provisioning and other necessities, too. This could be especially helpful if the main megayacht is several miles away, with the owners and guests. Rosetti says the craft can reach a top speed of 22 knots, shortening the time between loading everything and arriving at, or ahead of, the mothership.
As mentioned, the steel-hulled Rosetti 55-meter Support Yacht can stand apart with a full luxury interior. Therefore, the shipyard suggests lounges and dining areas like the open floor plan pictured above. Additionally, a master suite and three guest staterooms can go on the main deck. Seven cabins for crewmembers can go below decks.
While it promotes this design, the shipyard continues work on a 38M EXP scheduled for delivery this year.
