The best business is repeat business, and the charter yacht Axioma certainly benefits from it. In fact, some of the families who repeatedly vacation aboard have so much fun that they’re keen to invite along their grandkids, friends, or others. But, the megayacht doesn’t have extra staterooms to accommodate them all. Therefore, the owners have commissioned a support vessel, which will join Axioma in 2023.
Of course, they could have chosen instead to build an entirely new, larger yacht. But, why lose out on what makes this particular 236-footer (72-meter) so popular? Her crew says her spa and her masseuses, her casino, and even her hairstylists are perennial favorites of guests. Additionally, her chockful toy garage puts big smiles on guests’ faces. Three tenders, including a beachable one, an anti-jellyfish pool, SeaBobs, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and particularly a slide get the guests giddy.
As a charter yacht Axioma will amplify the mood once her support vessel can cruise in tandem with her. The owners have chosen to keep several of the vessel’s details close to the vest for now, unfortunately. So, the builder and designer remain unknown. So, too, does the LOA. However, the owners do share that the vessel will have accommodations for 10, in true superyacht style. Furthermore, guests will have their own saloon and spa, along with a whole extra armada of watertoys. In fact, a mini sub will be among them. Plus, a helipad (for touch-and-go operations) will convert to a basketball court, alfresco cinema, party pad, and more.
Axioma herself is upping the ante as well. Currently en route to Spain for a yard period, she’ll upgrade two of her staterooms, plus get a new paint job. Notably, Axioma was one of the last megayachts designed by the late Alberto Pinto. Therefore, the owners are taking great care to enhance his original design, with his still-active studio. Finally, look for a Lift e-foil, a Zapata Flyboard Pro, an Awake electric surfboard (above), and even more inflatables, kayaks, and other craft to join her watertoys.
