Formula 1 racing is coming to South Florida in several weeks, with exclusive benefits for yacht visitors. The Grand Prix Superyacht Rendezvous promises owners, guests, and crew a dedicated village. You can watch the races and enjoy special social events.
The Miami Grand Prix is taking place May 5 to 8 at the city’s Hard Rock Stadium. It’s highly anticipated, since the last time F1 racing took place in Florida was 1959. The yacht agency BWA Yachting has partnered with Greater Fort Lauderdale, the tourism arm for that city, and Pier Sixty-Six Marina to create the Grand Prix Superyacht Rendezvous.
Some of the exclusive benefits include, for instance, evening events with major figures from F1. Of course, it also comes with berthing at the F1 Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six. If watching a race in the company of fellow enthusiasts gets your adrenaline pumping, the village will have big screens. Entertainment is on the agenda, too. Finally, if you’re heading to watch the F1 racing in person, you can take advantage of VIP transportation by car or helicopter.
While this is the first year for the Grand Prix Superyacht Rendezvous, BWA Yachting has abundant experience arranging exclusive events for yacht owners during major races. In fact, a few years ago it established a relationship with SailGP, to host owners and guests around the world. Prior to that, it arranged superb experiences for America’s Cup attendees.
