Extra Yachts continues identifying opportunities to introduce buyers to its extra-voluminous yacht projects. The X115 Triplex is the largest thus far, with flexibility for cruising with plenty of family and friends.
As the name states, the Triplex lineup—which already includes the X96 Triplex and X99 Triplex—is entirely trideck designs. Palumbo Superyachts, the brand’s parent company, and Guida Design take care of all styling and engineering. Each Triplex megayacht model so far has its own interior designer. Therefore, the X115 Triplex follows suit, with Hot Lab ready to collaborate with customers.
One of the first areas owners and guests will appreciate is the main aft deck. Fold-down balconies on each side expand usable space to 807 square feet (75 square meters). Since full-beam steps cascade down to the submersible swim platform, you can go straight from lounging to swimming, using SeaBobs, or other activities. Extra Yachts is building the X115 Triplex to hold toys like SeaBobs as well as a 15-foot (4.6-meter) tender. The yacht additionally has a dedicated toy garage to starboard, freeing the bow for a hot tub and sunpads (below).
Yet another advantage of the X115 Triplex is the more social nature of the upper deck. Here, a formal dining area for 10 straddles the enclosed sky lounge and alfresco seating/cocktail area (below). Since Extra Yachts positions the superstructure farther forward on the series, you gain valuable usable space.
Valuable usable space waits inside, too. Buyers have a choice of five or six staterooms aboard, naturally reserving the forward main deck for the master. It includes a balcony and office area. Expecting most buyers will opt for five total staterooms, Extra Yachts arranges the below-deck area with two VIPs and two twins.
From the formal dining area and saloon on the main deck to the upper saloon, large windows bring in abundant light. Hot Lab recommends dark-tone soles, to lend the illusion of more space. (It tricks the eye into thinking the soles are lower.) Crew, meanwhile, will appreciate having the galley on the main deck.
Your wallet will appreciate the fuel efficiency of the triple 1,000-hp Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system as well. Extra Yachts’ X115 Triplex should see a 17½-knot top speed and 12-knot cruise with them.
